Anyone seen a UFO ?

It must be Silly Season time again with the plethora of 'UFO' sightings being reported in the media of late -but - it got me wondering as to just how many on here may also have seen something on their travels that was not easily, or logically, explainable ???

Who knows.... Our Earth may well be listed on an extra-terrestrial 'Wild Saucering' POI database located [wait for it.....] In a Galaxy, Far, Far Away.... :lol-049:

yep :scared: see loads when i was younger usually on way back from pub:lol-053::lol-061: saw stars a few times aswell in pub carpark:dance:

hehehehe .... You muppet!!!! Oh! and we've seen plenty of those as well!!!:lol-049:

YOU pack of Scaredy-Cats!!! I wouldn't mind betting that EACH and EVERY one of You, just like me, have seen something over the Years that made you question...

a) Your Sanity,
b) Your Tolerance to the local Firewater,
OR
c) Your refusal to believe in what you knew that you had just witnessed ... BUT - don't ever dare mention in Polite Company (in case they take You away in an Ambulance and invalidate the Life Insurance Payout).

A Starter?

Late Seventies and we (swmbo and the bait-digger), were fishing a Mid-Summer, midnight tide, off Roa Island [North side of Morecambe Bay]. It was one of those totally flat-calm, breathless evenings where you could almost have heard a sparrow f*rt in Blackpool. Just after the turn of the tide we both saw a vertical (searchlight type) intense beam of light - possibly a half mile away - illuminate over the bay. I instinctively thought that it was the local Search and Rescue Helicopter but - it remained vertically down and didn't 'Pan'or 'Sweep' as most Search and Rescues do. It then occurred to us both that there was no sound of chopper blades. We were looking at something that was totally silent. The whole incident lasted for about three or four minutes - and was gone.

I looked at her and she looked at me ..... and we carried on fishing.... and, Forty Years on - I am now asking the question.

Anyone else care to pop their head over the parapet ????

I've seen two, one over Detroit, Michigan in 1965 and one on the road from Aberystwyth to Rhayader in about 1974. The one over Michigan proved to be the circle of light on the cloud base from a big searchlight use by an Army Surplus Store in the City, you couldn't see the beam just the light moving around on the cloud base. The one in Wales, again at night, turned out to be an RAF jet flying low in the valley below the level of the road I was on with a big light on it's nose.

Seen plenty of stuff on this forum that is not easily or logically explained :lol-061:

U.F.O s were commonly known as Foo Fighters and were first seen during the second world war.
I suppose an aircraft pilot would know the differance between a strange object and a bit of light, the problem is there is always some idiot out there who thinks he knows better and has to answer the question with our very limited view of science when in reality they dont have a clue.Somethings are unexplained.Aliens or not.
Why cant they be alien vessels?
Look at all the billions of people who worship an icon called god i would believe in Spacecraft before the possability of god anyday!

Not so long ago you could have been burnt at the stake for predicting aircraft flying in the sky, with a lot more science and more maturity maybe we can evolve to answer all these questions, but by then i suspect we will have more questions need answering, that is if we havent wiped ourselves off the map in the name of god first though.

Me personally though i have not seen a U.F.O there is a lot to wonder about i love crop circles some of these are just so phenominal that it has been said that if some of them have been done by humans then they would be on the genius level. There is some strange stuff out there and im afraid when you come down to it these elaborate pictigrams are born from intelegance and if its not manmade then i think it is some other inteligence.

Just remember bloody science puts its own spin on things with its own limited physics.
