Another Devon overnight lost

South Hams council have put up signs proposing to ban overnight parking of Motorhomes on the North and South embankment road in Dartmouth. mike

Ah well possibly the £2135 first year and the £465 a year for five years road tax will cover the cost of putting up the new signage. Might even be enough for a barrier or two.

I think we ought to start challenging some of the motorhome parking bans on the grounds of age discrimination.
I'm sure that councils can't prove they've done a proper equalities assessment.
I'm thinking of Devon CC and Exmouth where you can park a car overnight but not a motor caravan.
We can still 'take up spaces' from locals during the day but not at night when they don't need them!!

there are a number of roads on the order for different towns that Devon cc are changing the no waiting restrictions, the last day for objections is today 18-10, this week was the first time for a while that I had been on the those parts of Dartmouth to read the propose order signs
