I don't know anyone who has and the only ones I know of would be through the news/media.I'm just wondering how good is our protection after having the second Vaccination has anyone caught or know of anyone catching the Virus after having had both
That is why I hoped that you could not book a Holiday abroad without showing proof of vaccination. It should be strictly enforced in my opinion. In fact I would go further by refusing medical treatment at a GP, Hospital or Dentist facility until you agree to have a jab on arrival if you have not bothered earlier.Once you’ve had your second jab and a further three weeks have past, it does appear that for the vast majority the chance of suffering any severe symptoms are extremely rare. Yes, you can still catch covid, from not being aware you’ve got it at one end of the scale, to feeling a bit like cold symptoms at the other.
What remains vague is the uncertainty of how vaccinated folk may or may not be passing the disease on.
My other half has been busy sticking needles in arms, what’s worrying is at a clinic last week of pre booked appointments for under fifties, only 30% bothered to show up.....

Nice sweeping statement there. Whatabout those individuals who are not medically able to accept a vaccination? let them die I guess? That is why I hoped that you could not book a Holiday abroad without showing proof of vaccination. You are the one who stated "strictly enforced" without any caveats or explanation of what you meant, boy.Nice bit of pedantic writing there lad.
Well those that are unable to have the vaccine due to medical reasons is one thing. But all the others that refuse for no legitimate reason should be charged for treatment by the NHS. That would maybe make all the none believers and idiots think twice.Nice sweeping statement there. You have been watching too much Judge Judy I reckon. You are the one who stated "strictly enforced" without any caveats or explanation of what you meant, boy.
Glad you've been ok after your jabs, thankfully I've also had both the Pfizer jabs now with no ill effect. The wife had her first Oxford jab and felt a bit rough over night then was fine, she's yet to get the second one done.I do try to be patient with the doubters, because getting nasty just won’t do any good. I hope that recent events in India and other parts of the globe will make some see sense. We both got our second jabs (Pfizer) on Wednesday with no side effects, same for first jabs.
Some people think that the vaccines were passed to quickly, and to be honest I have reservations to. But given the choice between catching Covid or possible side effects I reckoned we were better of with the jabs. But I do have some sympathy for some who genuinely have a fear of the vaccines, and this has not been helped by some of the carry on in other countries over the AZ vaccine.
Like I said I hope they have learned from what’s going on in other parts of the world, and get vaccinated. But referring to folk as idiots, and threatening them with punishment regimes is counterproductive.
I have not heard of anyone catching the virus after the 2nd jab, is early days though.I'm just wondering how good is our protection after having the second Vaccination has anyone caught or know of anyone catching the Virus after having had both

What is happening in some parts of the world is absolutely terrible.
My fear/thoughts are that quite a few of the doubters will not be alarmed by the situation as there aptitude will more than likely be "well it's over there so doesn't effect me"
So I'm mainly directing the word idiots to all those anti-maskers (not genuine folk with a real health issue) and those that have been going to parties and mass groups of people without a thought for the others and their families around them that they could infect.
So sorry if you don't like the term idiot, maybe ignorant is a better term for them. But surely those folk that have risked themselves and more importantly others around them are nothing more than that in my view.
I was having a heart check at the hospital the other week and while chatting to a couple of nurses there i put the idea of instead of giving these people fines, make them pay for all NHS treatment as they obviously don't care enough about the NHS to try to help them out by staying home and saving lives which the majority of us have been doing all this time.
They thought it would be a much better way and then they might appreciate the worth of the NHS..
I've posted before, I'm a believer in the jab.
The NHS spends millions every year treating preventable illnesses, so where do we start? Maybe cervical cancer, that's easily preventable.
