Mr. Grayling made arrangements to pay Brittany Ferries for 22 more crossings a week, which probably won't be needed with an extension to BBBBBB. This should make for a lot of spare capacity, paid for by HMG, and should therefore be cheap to us. Or will it?

Hey Guys, give it a rest, Please!
This is a M/H forum, not a political soap box

I do not see the OP post as political, as he was just asking whether the fares will go down.

A perfectly valid MH-related question.

Geoff

For the sake of completeness

Crossings also available on EuroTunnel ....

But will not be cheaper even though we gave them £30 million not take HMG to Court

OK maybe I jumped the gun, but there has been so much anti Grayling.
Lower ferry prices would be welcome!

The only reason there is a lot of Anti Grayling sentiment from businesses and the public alike is that he has displayed total incompetence and some of it nothing to do with Europe and ******

Albeit whatever happens it will affect motorhomers and travel in general

Ahh, nostalgia...
The very mention of Brittany Ferries, reminds me of the late, great, Wintonian, now parked in that great Aire in the sky.
He'd have been good for a thousand words, before breakfast.

Indeed .
Like , I'm sure , many on here I check ferry prices a lot . Usually Dover , Newhaven . Always get the feeling prices are rigged between the companies , usually fairly major price differences i.e. not competitive . Brittany ferries are , basically , a monopoly .

That looks a bit mixed up

"Usually Dover, Newhaven"
and
"Brittany ferries are , basically , a monopoly "

BF could be accused of being a monopoly on the Western Channel but do not operate from Dover or Newhaven.

Geoff

I normally travel from Dover or Newhaven whose operators , in my opinion rig their prices .
Brittany ferries , who don't operate from Dover or Newhaven are a monopoly .
Better ?
