Hi All, Back home after 97 days on the road. It shows 3000 unread posts, so I would have read a book by the time I finish going through the lot. Hope all you guys have had a wonderful time through the summer no matter what the weather. Rain all the way from Dover to Cornwall. Nice to stretch my legs on the sofa. But not for long. Well, back to the post and my e-mails.

Hi JH, Had a real good time, Almeria was the best. I know you spent part of the winter there. Do you know Taverna ? Great place for long stays. Drinking tap at your disposal. Emptying of toilets and waste water tank in the storm drains on the street, but only at this end of the beach road. Torrox Costa, forget it. Campers banned from large car park by the hotel RUI and also at the far end of the beach on the waste ground. Best part of the journey was the Swiss Alps and driving through Chamonix, France. Just beautiful. Back home now, but not for long. Take care Buddy.

Hi

Glad you had a good time - it is one of our favourite parts of the world. No, I don't know Taverna but it sounds great - could you give a location? We do, however, know the Torrox area and won't be going back! Good luck and keep us posted about your future travels.

.Hi JH
Taverna Valdigna lies between Cullera and Gandia. When you have turned off for Taverna, follow the PLAYA sign. It is a straight road (brand new) drive to the very end till you hit the beach, then turn right, at the end of the road, turn left and then right again. You will see a play area for kids with palm trees, turn left and on your right is a vast open area, always with MH's. Last winter, I was told were 39 MH's parked up. Hope this helps. I have a few more spots to feed to the folks on here, will do when I have sorted things out with my Travel Log.

Thanks for the PM David and good that you had a great time.
Funny how we bumped into those Irish people who had earlier been with you:lol-053:
We also are looking at another trip, but can't decide as yet if France for September or do a few smaller trips here in the UK:lol-049:
Have a great time:wave:

Hi Graham, yes, it was a real coincidence, small world. How far did you travel down that coast line? We got as far as Peniche, Portugal then turned back towards Spain. I haven't heard from the Irish couple, hope we do bump into them again as they were really nice and knowledgeable. France to Spain was great, 25º all the way. On the way back across France and into Germany it rained non stop. Quite dissappointing. Including a busted rear window from the hailstones that clobbered us. All in all a great 3 months, the hailstones robbed us of a 4th month on the road.

hi lots park abit further down the coast at playa daimus as well. just below gandia.
there is a good size carpark in tavernes town we use that one as well.
thee used to be a british guy called doug lived in the white house right at the back of the free park. mind he disapeared a few years ago . nice chap though. i would say there was alot more than 30 m,homes last winter . and big trucks. dutch bert just about lives there . with a big daf truck n drag outfit. big double slide outs and lift up roof its huge.
