Car doors and windows were frozen shut last night.

Reminder: don't operate the wipers without first freeing them first, better still stand them off the windscreen with some folded card board or pipe lagging to the metal arms.

Preaching to the converted again I guess.

Smear the rubber seals with vasoline, i do this on my cars and never had any more trouble.

I do this to all of ours Trev, also the rooflights to stop them sticking after being closed a long time

I get the frozen bin lids a lot. What I do is just whack each corner down with a fist and that breaks the ice seal.
Alternatively, put a small bit of folded cardboard over the centre lip and that will stop the big lid edge making full contact all the way around.

Had the frozen car thing yesterday. opened the doors but couldn't drop the windows down.

I remember the first winter night after I did my VW T4 conversion and was at a evening Christmas Fair. Came out around 10PM and couldn't unlock the cab doorss but the sliding door was fine so just went in that way

My heating boiler is in there and i have some rads tapped of it which work by opening a valve if i wish.
