From what I've read is that the AZ vaccine 1st jab likely strong reaction 2nd jab fine and the Phizer to be the opposite - 1st minor and 2nd strong. Obviously some have different experiences.

I'm hoping to hear back from GP in the next few days.

The announcement yesterday and today that those with a compromised immune system appear to only get 33% protection with the AZ vaccine, but 95% after the second, they have recommended that the 2nd jab is given much sooner that 12 weeks.

So I phoned doctor's this morning and put it to the receptionist who said she would pass my request on to my GP.
We'll see what happens. Getting my first injection at the GPs meant you weren't automatically given an appointment for your second jab like you were at the 'hubs'.

If I don't hear back Monday I will be pestering them on the phone at regular intervals until I get an answer, or, preferably, that all important second jab.

Remember when they were originally saying that you needed the 2nd jab 6 weeks after the first, then it was moved to 12 weeks so they could spread more 1st time jabs over a larger chunk of people?

Hmm....... 🐹🐹🐹

Phizer - exactly that both of us, first jab a little grotty for three days, second jab - same but for about a week (nothing too bad). Far better than being on a ventilator though 😎.

First time round , Izzy said I didn't look so good and a couple of hours later she said I looked awful and perhaps I should ring the doctor to see if they can recommend anything. Thing is, I actually didn't feel too bad at all.

And all this before I had the first jab! 😭 😭

My daughter was really poorly for a few days after her Pfizer jab. I didn't even get a sore arm. Don't know about the AZ one.

I had my first jab (Astra Zenica) on Wednesday morning, by that night my shoulders and neck were aching, next day felt really tired as well as the aches spread to almost all over, yesterday aches had gone and felt okay apart from a sore arm where they'd given me the jab, my second jab is end of May. From what the nurse said the aches and pains are usual for the Astra Zenica jab.

Feeling a little grotty is normal ,I was told it means the body is having an immune response and making antibodies. If you read the info/literature they give you, you will see what side effects to expect.

I had the Phizer jab at the end of January and had 4 weeks of headaches, dizziness, nausea, the trots ringing in my ears like tinnitus and generally ill with no energy I have my second this Thursday brought forward from April after seeing the RA specialists so I’m hoping that the second one is better.

Seems like you had more than your share of side effects ( although they are all in the info / literature) The "trots " are not listed but I suppose the "abdominal discomfort" eludes to that.:)

I had the Pfizer jab and had no side effects what so ever, what does that mean ? ............................................. however ........................................................

I did end up with a slightly sore arm but i think that was down to me prodding it to see if i could feel where they`d done it because i couldn`t even see the mark 🤪
