Hi Tezza 33, The van is a Hymer b614 A class 2005 2.8 jtd, friend of mine looked earlier re fuses etc and he also mentioned possibility of relay on the ignition side so you both seem to be on the same track. Thanks for your input.

IF i've read your problem correctly. Could it be faulty switch by door, giving power to step when not required. Disconnect power at switch and see if step still drops.

green card Think i'm lucky then. Insurance with Safeguard, no charge for green card and arrived 1st class next day after calling them.

12volt running fridge The 12volt side of fridge works when the engine is running,there should be a fuse in the engine compartment,near the battery i think,Quite common for them to blow,so think this might be your problem
