To start or not to start, that is the question. Last winter I ran the van half hour stationary and sometimes on the road up to temperature each month. 5. Future value of your motorhome.

Anyone put any thought in to the future value of their diesel motorhome as the day approaches to have all electric on to the roads. If we speculate that as leisure vehicles they may have a shelf life of 15 years to the government's target of 2035 then there must come a time when prospective...
  6. 24 hrs elec used

How much do you use in 24 hrs? Arrived at cl site with metered electric. Interesting I thought as never looked in to consumption before. Put 14 kw on meter . After 18 hrs it ran out. So it seems we consume about 18/19 kw in 24hrs. On this site at. 27 pence that's about £5.00 per day?
  7. Quarantine campsite

Has this question been asked before? On return where and how can people quarantine in a van. The Gov info says temp accommodation is OK but I guess it's dependant on a cl site or campsite offering quarantine pitches. Taps, elsan and food delivery are sticking points.
  8. Ski Scotland

Has anyone camped and ski in Scotland before. What was it like and can you share where to camp.
  9. Quarantine on site

How do full timers manage to quarantine on return to UK? You need a address to fill in on the form or the goverment will provide accommodation at your cost. Therefore you must get confirmation from a campsite or cl owner that they are OK for you to quarantine on site before arriving at customs...

  19. Start engine or not?

Turn engine over? Best practice for our Euro 6 Merc engine? No driving just warm up. Someone advised that newer engines with a diesel particulate filter could clog up outweighing the benifits. Not a issue for older diesel engines.
  20. Decal cleaning

After a full polish up on the van the decals on our 2014 Hymer still look a little grubby, patchy. Tried T-Cut and medical 99% alcohol. Good for tar but not doing the job on decals. Any ideas?
