    France & food.

Really don't see the point of taking any grub over to France apart from milk for a cuppa if you arrive late or early, going into a French supermarket is a joy to behold, an absolutely unbelievable choice of everything and on a similar if not cheaper scale than the UK.

Which motorhome insurance company do you use and why?

Use the cheapest I can find, but do look for equivalent insurance, been with AIB for a few years but this year premium went up by £140 shopped around which is a pain I know, but got it for just a £40 increase on previous year, so in reality I got paid £100 per hour for my time, do it with...

I left comfort 4 years ago after being with them for 3 years, I then changed to AIB but comfort did forward me a letter stating I had been with them for 3 years with no claims, when I got the price off AIB they said that the 3 years no claims from comfort did not make any difference to the price...

    Toll road categories

Talked to many French people apparently they all do it, "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" ! The simple fact that the nice French toll booths operator allows you to "get away with it" most of the time says a lot about the system.

    Toll road categories

Really, don't think breaking into a van is quite the same is it !! I think the 3m height for a class 3 is to identify commercial/ HGV vehicles etc, my vehicle is classed as a camping car in French law the same as a car the clues in the name, all I am doing when pressing the button is bringing...

Been flashed loads of times in France, but never had a ticket, as we are a high vehicle we are flashed thinking we are a HGV which have a lower speed limit than cars or vehicles under 3500 kg , if you look at a French speed camera there are two cameras one is set to a height for cars the other...

    Changing Tyres

I have been told it could affect any insurance payout if you have a tyre blowout with van only tyres in a motorhome, as they are designed for vans not motorhomes re the stronger side walls for camper tyres as described above, not worth the risk in my opinion.
