  1. Sunny Spain

Probably moved on from Miranda by now, but for the record.....the area by the E LeClerk supermarket offers somewhere to park overnight close to the motorway (and it's free of toll to go one junction in each direction). Also has the added bonus of the cheapest fuel I have ever found in...
  2. Spain/Portugal where are you?

Know Tavira very well but don't recognise that roundabout.....sign looks a bit Photoshop to my technophobic unskilled eye. I look after a house 5km from there that has been in the same family for over 30 years and in that time there has never been a frost. Lowest temp recorded on terrace at...
  3. Cordless tyre inflator

I've wasted plenty of money on cheap pumps with plastic cylinders and pistons that don't last 5 minutes. Eventually got a T-Max pump much used by 4x4 folk.....about 80 quid and worth every penny. Has metal piston and cylinder ...0.7 HP 12v motor and will inflate truck tyres up to 150 psi...

  6. AIB ...covered my large vehicle when others refused...breakdown/recovery, too!!

Just have to give credit where it's due. Murray at AIB was helpful in the extreme in getting excellent cover for my 13 ton 38 1/2 ft camper. Others, including my current insurers, had refused to even quote and another quote was 2 1/2 times AIB's. In addition, for an extra £100 I was offered...
  7. Cheapest camper van breakdown insurance ??

Large vehicle covered. I insured with AIB yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised to find that I could get full recovery/repatriation and home start cover for an extra £100.......more than some quoted above, but my GVW is 13 tons and most would not even offer to cover such a large vehicle...
