    LPG convertor kit

I have a Bullfinch external BBQ point and have successfully ran the heating over winter from a large Calor bottle situated outside the van. Try and get a very large Mobile Home type bottle, I’m sure Calor could advise you.

    Sad event.

At the end of the day, nobody can predict what is going to happen on a trip. Nobody leaves home with the intention of having an accident, and nobody knows what’s around the corner. If my granddaughter went flying out through the front windscreen, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.

    Trip to France

No Puds, do not buy AM stickers if you are only 3500kg. You’ll find yourself getting pulled up…. All the time!

    Trip to France

How heavy is your van Puds? If you’re plated at over 3500kg, you will need Angle Mortes stickers as well. Although the trend is changing, French aires are located in most towns and villages. In most cases they are paid for by the local business community. The original concept was that they...

    Autotrail D Trim needed

Has anybody got a small length of D trim tucked away in a garage or shed? Mine is in the middle lane of the M6 after some joker decided to pull out from the n/s lane and drive into the side of me. D trim is available from Autotrail but only in 4 metre lengths! I only need about 4to 5 inches please.

So there you go Wully….. check your plated axle weights, and then you know what you’re looking for. When you know what your plated axle weights are, you can use the chart above. 👍

    Tyres

I think you are correct Mark, but I wasn’t sure. I certainly have more faith in the back axle since insisting on a higher load rating. Wully might not need to spend the extra money, he has a tag axle. It would be worth checking your ‘plate’ Wully, to check the maximum rear axle weights, then go...

    Tyres

    I don’t know what tyre rating you need Wully, but this shows the loading differences carry: Tyre Load Index Load in kg 75 387 76 400 77 412 78 425 79 437 80 450 81 462 82 475 83 487 84 500 85 515 86 530 87 545 88 560 89 580 90 600 91 615 92 630 93 650...

    Tyres

Wully, there is also the strength of the tyre WALL to consider as well. Which from memory is the last number on the tyre size. Eg I have just fitted 225 x 75 x 16 R 118 Because I had so many problems with my rear axle I changed from R116 and basically they can cope with nearly half a tonne extra...
