    You are probably right . Report to trading standards (or relevant agency) and get on with your life ? Did know a builder who went ape £$%^ when someone complained. He reckoned 90% didn't bother him again

    If you were responsible you'd accept the repair , fair enough . But you are , in that case , due compensation. Whether that is enough to keep you (both) happy is another matter . Don't think garage proprietor does himself any favours . He actually sounds like an utter twat
