  1. TV not receiving HD programmes.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Success after re-tuning. I didn't think it could be that simple, but hey-ho what do I know ? Thanks again - all sorted
  2. TV not receiving HD programmes.

We have a 5 year old Carado T348, factory fitted with a Flatsat Classic S65 satellite dish, and Caratec Vision CAV226DSW 12V television. Since last week we have been unable to receive any HD programmes, particularly BBC. Do I now need to buy an HD satellite box to go between the satellite dish...

  4. Lost licence plate 😳

In Brussels we had a plate stolen from the front of our car - personalised no. Apparently these are collectible items, but the thieves only take the front plate because apparently the legal requirement in Europe is only to have a rear plate - at least that's what the police told us. Couldn't...
  5. Parking in Carlise (not overnight).

Try this location: 54.900838, -2.944928. It's at the end of Mayor's Drive. We've overnighted there several times. Surrounded by trees so no satellite reception patchy. No "no overnight" signs but its not an official car park - used by dog walkers. Never had any problems there. No barriers...

  14. Northumberland no overnight stay

Don't know about other places in Northumberland having bans/barriers, but we have used this "car park" at Boulmer many times for one-night stopovers for our journey up to Scotland. Last time a "local" jobsworth came over to tell us we couldn't stay overnight but were welcome during daylight...

  18. Places to stop overnight

As keen bridge players, at some point on our trips, both in the here and abroad, we try to find a bridge club to play at for an evening. Often these are in Community Centres, and at the end of the evening we check if we can stay in the car park overnight. We have yet to be turned away. Does...

  20. Radio Scotland - Tourism

It might also help our case to stress that motorhomers wild-camping are not simply taking the cheap option. Owning a MoHo is expensive: our motorhomes are expensive bits of kit. Tourists who can afford to spend £50k to £80k for a new motorhome can afford to spend money in local...
