thanks for your help, sorry, thought I “liked” your original post, it was helpful. Sitting in the queue at the port coming home and killing time by checking WC page....
Hello, we will (hopefully) be disembarking in Santander at 17:30 in a week's time  .... does anyone have any advice as to where to park up? We've not done this crossing before so have no idea where we can park up. We have Camper Contact and the POIs from Wildcamping ... but feel a bit...
Will do. We use your French POIs all the time .... I was a full member a few years ago and thought I had set up a DD, but obviously not as I couldn't update them recently!!
Sooooo excited, just booked our ferry to Santander for 27th December till 11th January. We normally head for Northern France or Holland, but fancied a change after doing southern France a couple of weeks ago.
Feeling quite nervous without our French Aires app on the satnav and where we will be...
We always head off on Boxing Day for about 10-12 days .... usually around the UK, but we did Andorra last year and were a bit disappointed (yes, I know it's a skiing place!!!!!) that there was not much to do/look at and it seemed to be about tax free shopping. There was no celebration on New...
Hi,
Is anyone else having problems with leisure batteries in Swift Motorhomes? I purchased a new Rio 325 thirteen months ago and the 80 Ah Yuasa battery, which was never particularly brilliant, has failed. Yuasa have refused to provide a new one under one warranty as, because of it's age...
I have a full set of Hymer curtains that have been sitting around for years!
Are they any good to anyone? They are mainly a peachy colour and went with the darkish green upholstery. If I remember rightly, there is a frayed bit on one the bed lining curtains but otherwise fine.
Free to a...
Hello, we have somehow acquired a Spanish gas bottle, with a little left in it. There is an adapter with it. Before we put it out for the scrap man we wondered if it is of any use to anyone?
We live in Tamworth, but my husband works in Henley in Arden and can take it there for collection too...
Hello, been meaning to ask this for months... when passenger window open on Hymer B584 when travelling, nasty whiff of toilet wafts in ...is thus from the SOG?? Is there any way to prevent it? Thanks
Hiya, just wanted to say happy new year to every wild camper and especially thank you to whoever posted the POI for the layby above Alnwick Castle ... Sitting here watching the fireworks from the warmth of Hettie the Hymer... Doesn't get much better than this!!:cheers:
We used to have a Hymer B544 a few years ago and managed to find a proper rectangular washing up bowl that fitted it perfectly. We now have another Hymer and I cannot find anything, anywhere to fit it (it needs to be 10cm deep max).
We tried sawing the lip of a normal bowl .... but couldn't...
Thanks again to all the respondants. I'm away now for just a few days - I'll have to rough it with a polystyrene box with a couple of freezer blocks in it. Next week (next year!) I'll run a new wire, and if that doesn't show any favourable signs, I'll get a piezo for it. Thanks again :-)
Happy...
Thanks to everyone who took the trouble to reply - is this the best use of your time on Christmas Eve? :-)
I've taken the hob out to check the wiring on the top of the fridge (is that the best use of mine?! :-)) and all seems to be in order. Nothing loose/frayed. Big green 240v switch lights up...
We've had problems with the electrics on the fridge - first the 12v stopped working, then while trying to fix that the gas ignitor has stopped working too!
We're going away for a few days and (leaving things till the last minute ... as usual!) wondered if you can light the fridge externally...
