    The OP implies a gizmo. If this uses a 13Amp PLUG to connect to the mains circuit it MAY all be that simple and marginally reduce paid for power when in use BUT is it worth the risk ????? For such limited savings.

    My 2 big worries over the years we "full-timed" in the summer were Health and a major problem with the vehicle. As with the OP we had no home to go to in UK If I or Nida or the motorhome were out of action.
