Has anybody had their van re-mapped and got any proof of the differences made. ie before and after dyno runs and graphs, fuel, air read outs. To prove they do what they say on the box.

Sorry not anal enough to keep stats I had my van chipped when I first bought it my 2.3 Bessie 7.5mtr long drives like a car I'm heavy footed so mileage figures vary wildly over 30mpg when crawling around touring but early twenties when travelling, would expect that unless your planning a lot of long mileage trips the cost of a good rewrite would take a lot of recovering as most of the advantages come from torque gains acceleration and top endperformance, of course there are fuel savings if you adjust your driving to suit,

I had a previous Autotrail remapped from 127 bhp up to 165 bhp,it was the Fiat 2.8 JTD engine. It was faster with more power and torque at low revs.I can't provide any tangible proof of difference in performance apart from a receipt for a new clutch a couple of months later. My fault I suppose for choosing a cheap bloke off of e bay who plugged his laptop into the ecu port whilst the van was on my drive, took his money and left. The clutch had done 30k when it gave up,it may have gone anyway without the remap....who knows.
If you decide to get it done make sure you get it done professionally by someone with a rolling road who can do a custom tune up and provide you with a read out.

What engine are you planning on getting remapped ? I can recommend vantuner.co.uk you can give him a call for advise. He did my 2.2 transit it seems to pull well in 6th gear as if it was in 5th gear if that makes sense

I take it from their site they don't have dyno facilities. Fiat 2.3 120 multijet.

Fitted a VTech kit on my MH, took about 10 minutes, really easy to do and I am a numpty when it comes to mechanics. No proof as such but for the first year without remap I was getting around 28mpg, after remap I am getting 32mpg and better torque with less gear changing.

Glad I did it for the increase torque alone.

He has the use of a local dyno if needed I rang pendle tuning and they wanted £325 + vat without going on their dyno all I wanted from my remap was a little extra power for the hills not performance

We have used this company many time to great effect.
CC Tuning | Remapping & Dyno Specialists | Burton on Trent.
including my own vehicles, he runs a VW van as his vehicle of choice and has a state of the art dyno.
My Seat will spin wheels in second if it's damp and the only problem is clutch wear.

Energy Tuning UK and you can adjust it yourself.

I`ve had one on mine since it was 6 months old and it`s now nearly 9 years old with 50,000 miles on the clock.

Bought it originally for extra torque when i was towing either a car on a A-frame or a box trailer.

Only 1 small problem a couple of years back and they replaced it with a new one without question.
