Hi Gary, I have the new Peugeot (same as your Fiat I think) and I got the water ingress problem fixed and I have experienced no other problems.
(SO FAR).

Hi

Mines been back to FiART a few times to have all the recall work done..Water ingress to engine, scuttle sealed to windscreen, starter fuse upgrade, engine cover over injectors (to stop water sitting in them) and a flash upgrade to engine management system.

There could be another one on the horizon as well..Judder when reversing up an incline. No decision from FiART on this one yet though.

Juddering in reverse

Has anyone had the problem of juddering in reverse resolved? Despite taking our 07 Peugeot into two garages the problem has still not been sorted. We have been told it will right iself with use!

Have not had the need to reverse up steep slopes yet.
Will post results if I have to do so.

Have a look at the 'Out&About' forum. There are many, many posts about Fiat/Peugot/Citreon juddering in reverse.

Hi Jenspen

Andy Stothert is spearheading a campaign about juddering, if you e-mail him at andystothert@blueyonder.co.uk he will give you loads of info.

Pugeot/Fiat Reversing Judder.

Hi,
well here goes.
Since the day I drove my new Sept 2007 Puegeot Motorhome home, I have had a problem with the famous Puegeot/Fiat reversing judder.
I have had the Motorhome back to my local Peugeot dealer on numerous occaisions for recalls, and finaly was told that during Dec 2008 that Puegeot would be sending a new gearbox, flywheel and clutch for them to be replaced.
December came and went, and was told that it would be April, so decided not to do winter in the Algarve, for fear of a burned out clutch.
In May this year, back to the local dealer, and had fitted a modified drive gear/ gearbox layshaft and clutch. The problem was reduced, but not eliminated.
An Engineer from Peugeot UK wanted to inspect it in June, so back to the local dealer, then to await his report being sent to France.
Last week, a new 2009 Gearbox/flywheel and clutch was fitted, bingo! but I have had to be very patient.
So anyone out there with this sort of problem, go back to the dealers Peugeot or Fiat and demand. I did threaten seeking legal advice in April and things started to develop very quickly, without banging the table.
I now have a Motohome with all outstanding recalls completed, and due to test out the new Gearbox in Scotland, what a test! If you have a similar problem, good luck.
Thanks also to Andy Stothert from MMMagazine for his advice and input.

Happy Motorhomer(Again):)

What is the real 2 fingers to us motorhomers, is that the major, and minor, converters, have known of these intolerable problems with this x/250 since about july 2007, but have continued to build on them knowing that all the problems will fall on the new owners and cause them intolerable inconvenience, stress and anger.
The reason for this is that Fiat.....and all Sevel vans are sold on a completion of sale payment ... so the industry can order as many of these sub standard vehicles and build on them knowing the money stays in their bank and the agro will fall on the consumer.
I was talking to a play equipment service engineer with a one year old Sevel that had just had a new engine fitted:eek: so its not just the gearbox/clutch.
